Safety precautions taken at LHS
To learn about the safety measures at LHS, security supervisor Mr. Robert Uliks took me around the school, both inside and outside, showing me some of the safety precautions. I was only able to see some of the safety precautions at LHS because some must remain confidential for the safety of the school, Mr. Uliks said. Recently, District 128 was rated the safest school district in Illinois by Niche.com.
These block-like structures outside of LHS are called protective bollards. They are meant to protect the school and the people inside it from car crashes.
