Anti-Racism Book List
In the wake of the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and other unarmed African Americans, many students and staff have been eager to get involved in and gain a better understanding of the fight against systemic racism in the United States. Below is an interactive graphic of both fiction and non-fiction books that offer stories and analyses of the damaging effects of racism in the U.S. and around the world. These books also contain insight into modern social justice movements, providing information about the goals of different movements and the best ways to advocate for these causes.
Note: Many of these books discuss subject matter that may be triggering or upsetting for some, including but not limited to police brutality, racially motivated violence, racial slurs, sexual assault, depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicide.
