For the song “Capriccio Italien, Op. 45,” originally written by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, parts of the Symphonic Winds ensemble joined the Chamber and Symphony orchestras. “[This tune] is a big orchestral piece and it has a lot of beautiful music to it,” Mr. Jeremy Marino, the orchestra director, said. “I’m just excited that they were able to do such a fantastic job.”
On Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, an audience gathered in the Butler Lake Auditorium to watch the various orchestras perform a variety of classical pieces. These ensembles were conducted by Mr. Jeremy Marino, the orchestra director, and Mr. Matthew Karnstedt, a fellow member of the music department.
