Dear Readers, We’re Rishi Tipparti and Ashley Sanchez, Drops of Ink’s editors-in-chief for the 2024-2025 school year. This is Rishi’s third year on staff and Ashley’s fourth.

With a new school year comes new changes, and with that, we are thrilled to announce DOI’s new advisor and LHS’ English Department Chair, Dr. Lauren Katzman. Our new editorial board consists of Rishi and Ashley, Sophie Lee (Sports editor), Grace Jackman (Features and Online editor), Sophia Jackman (News and Opinions editor) and Luiza Magalhaes (Managing Editor)

On behalf of the whole staff, we’re beyond excited to bring you the first issue of the 2024-2025 school year, Action. We’ve worked hard over the past month and a half, and hope you enjoy flipping through this magazine.

In addition, we also hope to talk about our hopes for the future. LHS is going through a lot of changes over the next few years, and we as a publication are hoping to take action and address relevant topics and events that affect our community. Although we will have many more stories to tell, there is nothing that could replace the one we are living in at this moment. 

So, dear readers, although you may leave this magazine on a cafeteria table or throw it away eventually, we hope that our work leaves a positive impact on your day, because at the end of the day, we make these magazines for you.
