Donald Trump won the 2024 election, surpassing the 270 needed electoral votes by winning the state of Wisconsin.

In the closely watched Senate races, Democrats lead in Maryland, Michigan, and Wisconsin, while Republicans are ahead in Texas, Nebraska, Montana, and Ohio, with the balance of power currently favoring Republicans, who hold 53 seats to the Democrats' 43, with key races in Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania still undecided.
On Sunday, May 19, Illinois Congressman Brad Schneider gives a speech at the 2024 Women for Brad luncheon, discussing his support for women’s reproductive rights. Schneider has been very vocal of his support for women, having supported the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA) and “will always stand with Planned Parenthood,” according to his political platform. On Wednesday, October 30th the combined LHS and middle school choirs sing the songs “Stand Together” by Jim Papoulis and “Crowded Table” by the Highwomen arr. Ramsey. Retired from Stevenson High School, Mrs. Alice Nuteson was the guest conductor for the combined choir Sophomore violinist Dani Hwang plays the accompaniment with pianist Mrs. Claire Dixon.

Everyone plays an important part in this number: performers, crew and pit orchestra performers. "I like what the actors are doing on stage, and I have a solo in that song, so that's pretty cool," said Junior Eli Cui, a piano player in the orchestral pit.
