Girls Varsity Basketball Fights Hard Against Mother McAuley

On Thursday, Nov. 16, the varsity girls basketball team played Mother McAuley at Buffalo Grove High School in their season opener. Though ahead through most of the game, in the end, the Wildcats lost, 58-49.

During the show-stopping number, Under the Sea, Sebastian (Junior Eva Thomas) tries to convince Ariel (Senior Wren Frey) that everything she has everything she needs, "right here, Under the Sea!" Everyone plays an important part in this number: performers, crew and pit orchestra performers. "I like what the actors are doing on stage, and I have a solo in that song, so that's pretty cool," said Junior Eli Cui, a piano player in the orchestral pit.
