Green Dot is a program that LHS is participating in to end bullying, and it teaches people how to be an effective bystander. Dr. Brenda Nelson brought this movement to LHS and some students will become leaders. Green Dot posters can be seen throughout the school to promote this program.

Libertyville High School has created clubs and support weeks to create a more accepting and safe environment for students. One of the many ways that LHS does this is by being involved in Yellow Ribbon Week. Yellow Ribbon Week is a week-long event to bring awareness to suicide prevention.

As a result of the flooding, many roads, such as Oak Spring Road, were closed for a majority of Wednesday, July 12. Flooding covered several streets, making it difficult and dangerous for cars to pass through.
